With the YouTuber phenomenon now becoming a work trend in various parts of the world, AKB48 groups’ idols or former idols are many to open Youtube channel for the greatest pleasure of their fans!
Those channels are dedicated to let fans see a more personal side of them, try something new, do vocal/or dance covers, or just for fun.
Some channels are dedicated to some specific contents like gaming, comedy or makeup, so even if you don’t like AKB groups, you can enjoy those channels.
In this Part 1, let’s discover today some Youtube channels own by current AKB48 or Japanese sister groups’ idols!
AKB48
AKB48 15th anniversary event
In order to liven up their 15th anniversary year, some members will be distributing videos as a new challenge! So far, the members who participated in this project are Mukaichi Mion, Murayama Yuiri, Mogi Shinobu, Okada Nana, Nakanishi Chiyori, Sakaguchi Nagisa, Kashiwagi Yuki, and Yokoyama Yui.
Mukaichi Mion, Murayama Yuiri, Mogi Shinobu, and Okada Nana - Yuna Mogion Channel
Among the 8 members, Mukaichi Mion, Murayama Yuiri, Mogi Shinobu, and Okada Nana opened a group channel called “Yuna Mogion Channel”.
They are uploading a variety of challenges with friendship and deep bonds that transcend the boundaries of seniority and juniority!
Murayama Yuiri (Yu) is the captain AKB48’s Team 4.
Okaka Nana (Na) is an AKB48’s Team 4 & STU48 member, as well as former general manager of STU48.
Mogi Shinobu (Mogi) is a member of AKB48’s Team K.
Mukaichi Mion (On) is AKB48 group 3rd general manager and Team A’s member.

Kashiwagi Yuki – Yukirin World
Yuki Kashiwagi debuted in 2006 with the 3rd generation of AKB48. She is an original member of AKB48’s Team B, and former member of NMB48 and NGT48.
After Minegishi Minami, Kashiwagi Yuki is the 2nd longest running member of 48 Group. She is the eldest and the most publicly loved active member of the entire 48 Group family.
Her popularity at one time was so great that she was often grouped in with the original Kami7 (Godess7, or the most 7 popular members of AKB48); fans would simply call them the Kami8 or the Kami7 + Yuki.
Most recently, she made a public announcement that she wouldn’t even think about graduating from the group until after the age of 30.
She regularly posts videos of her everyday life to keep fans entertained!

Nakanishi Chiyori – Chiyo Channel
Nakanishi Chiyori is a member of AKB48’s Team B.
In 2018, she participated in the South Korean competition series Produce 48 as one of the Japanese contestants from AKB48 and its sister groups, aiming at debuting a Japanese-Korean girl group, IZ*ONE. She finished in 37th place.
She launched her Youtube channel to show her real personality, which is different from her idol side!

Sakaguchi Nagisa - NaginagiTube
Sakaguchi Nagisa is a member of both AKB48’s Team 8 and Team 4.
As the representative of Hokkaido in Team 8, she opened her Youtube channel to show the beauty of Hokkaido as well as her hobbies.
She was recently appointed as Hokkaido Sightseeing Ambassador !

Yokoyama Yui - Yuihan Life
Yokoyama Yui is a member of AKB48’s Team A who debuted in 2009 and was the 2nd General Manager of the AKB48 group before Mukaichi Mion.
Loudly applauded by the earlier generation, or Golden Age of members, Yui has since pledged to stay in AKB48 for as long as she can.
In her first video, she teases all the futures videos of her channel: collaborations with videographers, professionals, videos about Kyoto (her birthplace), covers, FAQs, and many more videos to discover in her Youtube channel!

Minegishi Minami
Minegishi Minami is a member of AKB48’s Team K. She announced her graduation on December 2019 and her graduation concert is delayed by the international pandemic. She is currently the last of AKB48’s first-generation members: she joined AKB48 in 2005 and was part of the Original Team A.
We are still awaiting a Minami graduation concert but the meantime, we can enjoy her newly opened Youtube channel, where we can keep up with her after her departure from the group.

Anna Iriyama
Anna Iriyama is a member of AKB48’s Team A. She was in Mexico from 2018 to 2019 and was part of the cast for the telenovela Like. As of 2020, she returned to Japan to continue with her activities in AKB48.
Iriyama opened her Youtube channel in 2019 while being in Mexico, focusing her initial videos on travel throughout Mexico, speaking Spanish in them, with Japanese subtitles.
Since her return in Japan, she still posts videos in Spanish about Japanese culture, places and food!

Ma Chia-Ling - AKB48 Ma Chia-Ling - Macharin Official
Ma Chia-Ling is a Taiwanese member of AKB48’s Team 4 since 2015. She is also the first and so far only member of AKB48 who is not Japanese.
She opened her channel to introduce AKB48 to more people and she said: “I will do my best to be a bridge between Japan and Chinese areas”.

Miyazaki Miho – Myao Channel
Miyazaki Miho is a member of AKB48’s Team A who debuted in 2007.
In 2018, she participated in the South Korean competition series Produce 48 as one of the Japanese contestants from AKB48 and its sister groups, aiming at debuting a Japanese-Korean girl group, IZ*ONE. She finished in 15th place.
Themes of her videos are primarily K-Pop and Korea and is aimed at her Korean and Japanese fans.
Rare fact, all her videos have substiles in English, Korean and Chinese, so enjoy!

Suda Akari - Suda Akari Secrets
Suda Akari is the leader of SKE48’s Team E and the oldest member of the team (29 years old).
She debuted in 2009 with the 3rd generation.
She was the first SKE48 member other than Matsui Jurina and Matsui Rena to make Senbatsu in AKB48’s Senbatsu elections and to achieve the status of Kami7. She ranked #2 at the last Senbatsu elections in 2018 behind Matsui Jurina.

Yoshida Akari
Yoshida Akari is a member of NMB48’s Team N 1st generation. She announced her graduation very recently on August 16, 2020.
Akarin is probably the most famous idol who decided to become a YouTuber. Her decision to start YouTube in 2016 has gotten her a lot of new fans and made her popularity within the group increase considerably. She was also an inspiration for a lot of other idols to start YouTube.
Akarin is an active beauty YouTuber, she released her beauty book IDOL MAKE BIBLE @ Akarin series, and she also develop her beauty product brand B IDOL.

Shiroma Miru is a member of NMB48’s Team M who debuted in 2010 with the 1st generation.
In 2018, she participated in the South Korean competition series Produce 48 as one of the Japanese contestants from AKB48 and its sister groups, aiming at debuting a Japanese-Korean girl group, IZ*ONE. She finished in 20th place.
She started her Youtube channel at the beginning of September, and within a week, her three videos has received over almost 300,000 views !

Miyawaki Sakura - Channel Miyawaki Sakura
Miyawaki Sakura is the co-captain of HKT48’s Team KIV and a member of Japanese-Korean girl group IZ*ONE created at the end of the South Korean competition series Produce 48 where she finished at the 2nd place.
Due to Sakura’s participation in IZ*ONE, she will be on hiatus from HKT48 until April 2021.
She has a famous gaming channel (on hiatus too), but you can watch her videos waiting for her return!

Murashige Anna, an original member of HKT48’s Team KIV, paired up with Nishino Miki, a former member of AKB48’s Team 4 who graduated in 2017 to open a joint Youtube channel!
They both produce videos on their YouTube channel, and they are very funny to watch!

Sakaki Miyu is a member of STU48’s 1st generation.
She is very active on Youtube posting videos about her daily life and her life as a STU48 member. Before entering STU48, she published videos of herself singing and dancing on YouTube for nine years, from the time she was five years old until she joined STU.
Her Youtuber name was CUCA, which is her current nickname.
