So what’s Detective Pikachu about?

Tim (Justice Smith), was a boy who loved Pokemon until his mom passed away and his ace detective dad, Harry, went missing. It was assumed he was dead.

He travels to Ryme City, a city where humans and Pokemon coexist, to find out more about his dad. It’s there that Tim encounters a detective Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds), who speaks human language and that only he can hear.

The detective Pikachu, who used to be Harry’s buddy, had lost his memories of the incident, but had only one conviction. “Harry is still alive.” Why did Harry disappear? What is the mystery of the incident that takes place in Ryme City?
