Glitz, glamour and glitter: join the Tokyo fashion world’s most important annual extravaganza as fashionistas, models, editors, stars and designers flood the boutiques of Omotesando for Vogue Fashion’s Night Out.
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour conceived Fashion’s Night Out as a globe-straddling nocturnal celebration of the glories of haute couture (and its related pastime, shopping). This year in Tokyo, the 12th of September more exactly, the after-hours shopathon will run between 4pm and 10pm, with hundreds of stores and boutiques in Harajuku, Omotesando and Aoyama getting in on the act.
Get ready for the opening ceremony in Omotesando Hills, complete with some entertainment provided by local stars and models. Get there early to secure a spot – if you’re lucky enough, you might catch a glimpse of a famous designer. Following the ceremony is shopping time, so head out to posh Omotesando and get your wallet ready for some action – or just take advantage of the best night of the year for people-watching…
Over 450 shops are participating, spilling all the way out to Aoyama and Harajuku and each presenting different activities, promotions and freebies for visitors. Make a beeline to your favorite boutiques for celebrity appearances, limited-edition products and DJ performances.
After that, the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out will reach Osaka the 17th and 18th of October, at Hankyu’s Umeda Honten and Hankyu Men’s Osaka department stores.
